Extended Temporal Logic on Finite Words and Wreath Product of Monoids with Distinguished Generators
We associate a modal operator with each language belonging to a given class of regular languages and use the (reverse) wreath product of monoids with distinguished generators to characterize the expressive power of the resulting logic.

This paper gives necessary and sufficient conditions for the restricted wreath product of two monoids to be finitely generated or finitely presented.
متن کاملOCL Extended with Temporal Logic
UML class diagrams have become a standard for modeling the static structure of object-oriented software systems. OCL can be used for formulating additional constraints that can not be expressed with the diagrams. In this paper, we extend OCL with temporal operators to formulate temporal constraints.
متن کاملOn the decidability and complexity of Metric Temporal Logic over finite words
Metric Temporal Logic (MTL) is a prominent specification formalism for realtime systems. In this paper, we show that the satisfiability problem for MTL over finite timed words is decidable, with non-primitive recursive complexity. We also consider the model-checking problem for MTL: whether all words accepted by a given Alur-Dill timed automaton satisfy a given MTL formula. We show that this pr...
متن کاملExtended Temporal Logic Revisited
A key issue in the design of a model-checking tool is the choice of the formal language with which properties are specified. It is now recognized that a good language should extend linear temporal logic with the ability to specify all !-regular properties. Also, designers, who are familiar with finite-state machines, prefer extensions based on automata than these based on fixed points or propos...
